Harvey Frost Automotive Jack
In the 1920's the Lake and Elliot Jack Company and the Harvey Frost & Co. Ltd were merged under the leadership of Arthur Ernest Lake and maintained the Harvey Frost & Company name. The company not only had ownership of the first patent for a piece of garage equipment in England (a vulcanizer for tyres and tubes) but they were also the originators of the garage section at the annual Motor Show. (Link) The Harvey Frost 1 Ton jack is rare in the United States, being of English origin, and it was manufactured as an aftermarket jack for cars including the British made Ford Zephyr and Zodiacs, Daimlers, Jaguars, Rovers, Triumphs and others. An interesting feature on this jack is the flip top extender that can be lowered for a wider surface and lower overall height to fit under a vehicle.
